Bio
Kaitlin picked up the performing bug at the age of 3 and hasn’t looked back. Performing professionally at a young age, Kaitlin appeared in productions such as the Queensland Ballet’s Royal Gala (1999) and Michael Jackson’s History Tour (1996). She also has performances in the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols, the RAQ Fashion Awards, and other such corporate performances to her credit .
After completing secondary school, Kaitlin decided to continue her studies in the performing arts, and enrolled in a Bachelor of Creative Industries in Dance, at Queensland University of Technology in her home town of Brisbane. Throughout her studies, Kaitlin was professionally engaged in the dance industry as a freelance dance teacher. She also dedicated her free time to perform in several community theatre projects, such as Savoyards Musical Comedy Society’s Singin’ In The Rain (2006) and Cabaret (2007) .
Since completing her degree in 2007, Kaitlin has been performing in the Queensland Arts Council Ontour Inschools show, Be the Beat with Grant Collins. The show, a music and dance workshop for school-aged children and teenagers, has toured throughout Queensland, and will continue to do so in 2009. Kaitlin has also continued her work as a freelance choreographer, performer and dance teacher, working on such projects as the Ausdance Educators Network Queensland Choreolab for high-school dance teachers. She continues to teach in several dance studios throughout Brisbane.
